SAN JOSE, Calif. â Spock the cat is suffering from a case of mistaken identity.
Spockâs owner wants her neighbors to know that he really is just a lovable and mischievous domestic cat, and not a bobcat or other wild animal.
Collen Pizarev told the San Jose Mercury News that a neighbor accused her of harboring a bobcat, after seeing her 27-pound, 46-inch Maine Coon peering out the window.
Another neighbor mistook the massive cat for a lynx.

A little on the hefty side, but pretty much a typical Maine Coon. I’d worry more about jackass neighbors who can’t mind their own damn business...reporting something like this to the authorities is just asking for trouble...especially if you have dogs.
...Pic #1...thought you had a jackalope there for a minte.
My Shredder is only half Coon so it’s no surprise he weighs in at only around 15, (ranges 14-16) depending on the time of year.
He is an absolute love bug and I think he gets a bit of separation anxiety because every time I go visiting relatives for a week, he won’t let me more than a couple of inches away from him for days after I return home.
All of his fur is thick but his belly is absolutely luxurious and even softer than that new type of fake fur they use for kids stuffed animals and blankies. Of course my favorite is his fuzzy little paws when he pets my face wanting attention.
WOW! If it were possible...she is the Katherine Hepburn of Coon cats! Breathtakingly beautiful!
Those ear tufts and glorious whiskers! Such presence! WOW!
Where Spock mamma been at?
Male Ragdolls must be bigger than the females. Our Stella is only about 8.5 lbs but she dominates Beaux, our 13+ lbs Birman. They are both very sweet and affectionate.
She is so darn moody though! In my house, “if the cat ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy.”
I keep her mane and her belly hair clipped way down. She gets pretty messy with her food. She is really nice to me and tolerates the hubby.
And she is only 3 years old.
A Kardashian cat. That’s what you have!
What fun! I’m jealous of you! You’re very fortunate!
So cute!
