Hush, you'll spoil the fun. I'll take a gently dissenting position, possibly because I've been around long enough to have seen it all before. It is a good thing to see the passion, even if exhausting and occasionally infuriating. These are all - well, mostly - good people who care desperately about their country. They are not sheep. They are the bedrock on which the country rests, every silly one of them.
We have to have this. We have to have the debate, the fury, and, unfortunately, the unfairness that passionate people always bring to the table. We have to have the pettiness, the sanctimony, the rudeness, the absolutism, because these are the blemishes on the flesh of something great. I don't think you can have the greatness without the blemishes.
That said, when my man Yeb! gets in I plan on crushing all of you under the iron boot-heel of domination. But in the nicest possible way.
Best to you. ;-)
Good to see you here, seems like it’s been a while? They don’t call it silly season for nothing, lol. People do get carried away. I’ve been guilty of it myself. I will say, if the party tries to pull any crap at the convention to block either Trump or Cruz, I suspect they’ll be surprised at the voter reaction. It won’t go over well at all, and will cost them the election, whether to Democrats or something else, that remains to be seen.
