I live on the upper reaches of the Raisin and love me some history. I've been digging around in local history and found my neighbor's great grandfather who appears to have been a real Jack of all trades.
Obvious coon hunter, stone mason, and he managed the ice harvest during the winter. It also appears that he met migrant workers as they got off the train and set them up with jobs on local farms. If there were no jobs to be had he put them back on the train to the next town so the wouldn't be wandering the area.
