I think Cruz would be an outstanding AG.
And he might even want such a job.
It would probably make him too political to ever get a Scotus confirmation, but he might already have burned that bridge anyway. Barring a filibuster proof Senate, of course. Then I’d appoint him in a heartbeat.
And he doesn’t have to deal with the Canada question.
The ‘filibuster’ is a boogey-man term anymore; only recently did Paul and Cruz use it correctly (for all the good the GOP did to bolster ‘em *spit*).
Well, there’s always the recess appointments. Congress hasn’t done squat vs. Labor Review Board (that I remember), even AFTER the Courts said ‘No no’.
I will give Trump this: He’d do it to put Cruz in their face, DARE ‘em, and take ‘em to the mattresses (through the People) if he thought it needed to be done.
Can’t say I’ve see that gumption. Course, he’s no politician/lawyer either. IMO, that’s been TOO long in the coming
