Ted is very smart...just not too bright. You cut deals wherein you win and they lose.

A refusal to cut deals leaves a stalemate wherein there is no progress.

Cruz’s pitches are getting increasingly stupid. He’s basically setting himself up to have a position where he refuses to attempt to work any bill through congress, since he won’t “negotiate” in any way. Though he was plenty happy to negotiate over legalization in the past.

Whaaaat? A president that would use "veto" power against liberal democrats and republicans alike ?!?!? This can't be. I like that guy.

Yes Ted, believe it or not the president will have to cut deals with the opposition to get things done. Just like Reagan did.

Booksmart genius. Streetsmart dunce.

In the real world, deals are how things get done. The question is whether you get good deals or the sh!t sandwich the gop has been handing us for the last 30 years and calling it filet mignon.

Liberals, like GOPe, like candidates that compromise their principles. They're flexible. Just like Obama with Putin.

Well, yes, I want someone who can cut deals with Washington. I want someone who can get Congress on board with building the wall, I want someone who will get Congress to write legislation to defund Planned Parenthood, someone who can get legislation passed to end anchor babies. As a matter of fact, there are a whole lot of deals I want made.

I do not want another person in Washington who thinks writing EO’s is better than working with Congress.

The Republicans we have now just capitulate, Donald won’t, that’s the difference.

"Die-hard conservatives thought that if I couldn't get everything I asked for, I should jump off the cliff with the flag flying-go down in flames. No, if I can get 70 or 80 percent of what it is I'm trying to get ... I'll take that and then continue to try to get the rest in the future."

Cruz voted for TPA, Corker bill, H-1B visas, etc., and he wants to criticize Trump on cutting deals?

The deal Trump wants to cut is simple.
He is self funded, thus his nomination will free up huge donor dollars for all the GOP and their dem cronies.
This is a very dangerous precedent to set in this republic.
It's always about money and power and duping the voters. Happy election year everyone!!

Suckers!

Trump never goes into specifics he just says he’ll make great deals. Of course his supporters ignore that.

Paul Ryan and John Boehner have already done that. Harry Reid is on his way out.

Trump was not talking about making deals as much as he was saying that he would not use EO’s and try to use the Congress unlike Obama does.

How big a heap of mud do you have on the floor there?

This is why Ted is NOT the answer for president.

To get anything done you MUST cut deals.
This is not bad.

The problem is that for too long deals we were cutting deals giving away the farm for a few magic beans, and now we are all gun-shy.

Trump knows how to make deals to his benefit. As such he will make deals that will benefit AMERICA. Why do I think Trump will make deals that are good for America versus his own personal interests?

Trump’s EGO. Trump is ruled by his ego, and going down in history as the most trans-formative president would be worth far more to his ego than a few bucks.

Trump WILL win. Trump is a winner. Even when he played in liberal NYC and did what he had to do to win, Trump WON.

Trump is now going for his EGO and the need for his ego to be fed as being a successful president, will in fact MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN

Ted has ZERO the people skills that Trump has. Ted can’t get done anything he wants as he has alienated his own conservative peers (Notice Zero endorsements from house and senate)

Trump has the people skills. Trump has shown the ability to negotiate what he wants and giving up very little in return.

This is why Trump making deals isn’t a bad thing, whereas Ted getting NOTHING done because he can’t make any deals is by far the worse choice.

[2009 interview]

"....[Larry] KING: There are a lot of great topics. One of them is Barack Obama. In fact, the list at the back of the book on the topics, the number one is, "Barack Obama's election ushers in a different world."

How do you assess him?

[Donald] TRUMP: Well, I really like him. I think that he's working very hard. He's trying to rebuild our reputation throughout the world. I mean, we really have lost a lot of reputation in the world. The previous administration was a total disaster, a total catastrophe.

And, you know, the world looks at us differently than they used to. And I think he's trying to restore our reputation within the world. And he was handed a pretty bad deck of cards. I mean, he was given a pretty tough situation.

And I'm not saying I agree with everything he's doing. I do agree with what they're doing with the banks. Whether they FUND THEM or NATIONALIZE them, it doesn't matter, but you have to keep the banks going.".....CNN Transcript of interview

If you want someone to pee in their pants and just do what the Democrats say, keep voting for most of your Republicans in Congress.

I’ll take a chance with Trump. With the regular GOPers, there’s no chance.
