The "Cruzers" are associated with the worst elements on Free Republic, currently. The Palin insults were flung by a lot of the leading "Cruzers".

Cruzer has always meant one thing. Cruz to victory. You can pretend it means something else all you like. You can make it a slur if you like. We embrace it. And what Trump fans think isn’t a concern anyway.
