During the second hour of his show today, Mark Levin went through Trump's latest attack on Ted Cruz where he suggested that Cruz was worse than Hillary for not filing a loan disclosure for his Senate campaign in 2012.
Trump said this was intentional by Cruz in order to hide his loans from the American people. But Levin called that a flat out lie, pointing out that Cruz did report the loans in other filings and explained how it's common that someone might think this type of collateralized loan didn't need reporting to the FEC, considering it was basically his money.
Levin said this isn't a crime nor is it unethical, and certainly not a reason to keep beating someone over the head with it. Levin says Trump needs to stop lying about it, but that he probably won't.
Levin also pointed out the absurdity of Trump attacking Cruz for "personally guaranteeing loans with banks". Levin chuckled and said "it's called collateral!," pointing out that Trump just wants to muddy the waters.
And there's more, including address his comparison of Cruz to Hillary.
Listen at link.
[Levin said this isn’t a crime nor is it unethical, ]
Ummm.... the FEC might have a different opinion, Mark.
Doesn’t matter what he does or says.
He’s the Teflon Don.
He’s going to pop a vein one of these days.
Levin is done as far as I’m concerned. This sick fool has no idea who Cruz is and hates Trump.
Yeh I hate to have to inform Mark that its not optional to properly disclose loans and liabilities on FEC filings. He’s way off base on this one.
If you listened to the tape, Levin was quoting an FEC Commissioner.
Cruz hide the loans during his campaign. He pulled a Hillary,’I forgot’.
Levin shilling for his candidate. Not a good look.
Like there AREN’T any shady officials in the FEC? Please.
Levin’s defense does not make sense.
Cruz is supposed to be the smartest lawyer in the country.
And this smart lawyer “assumes” he does not have to report
his loans from Goldman Sachs and Citibank in his FEC filing.
Not a credible defense.
In addition, the amount of time and effort Levin is having to
invest in defending Cruz, does not bode well for Cruz.
Levin has been in constant defend mode for Cruz the last two
weeks. If Levin thinks these issues are no big deal, why is he
spending so much time on them?
Something to think about.
... Ummm.... the FEC might have a different opinion, Mark.
Have you seen a charge or fine? Do you think bambi’s army would not have jumped on this?
Is there any lie your hero repeats that you will not defend?
Is it bothering you that donnie is becoming the establishment candidate, preferable to Cruz, because the entire DC cartel believes rightfully that DT will cut deals and his innate love of liberals?
BTW -
New poll -
NH voters who will never vote DT - up to 30%.
NH voters who will never vote Cruz - steady at 4%.
Internals from a NH poll last week showed Cruz beating your guy by 8%.
Republicrats eating their own while the enemy flourishes.
How is reporting the loans on the Senate forms hiding them? If you listened to the tape, an FEC Commissioner said it is not uncommon for there to be confusion about personal loans on the FEC reporting. This was not a loan made to the campaign, but a personal loan secured by personal assets.
Trump, who has received hundreds of millions of dollars from George Soros, is being dishonest. Trump supported the TARP bailout of the big banks. He is a dishonest hypocrite.
Et tu Levin

“(g) The principal campaign committee of the candidate shall report the receipt of any bank loan obtained by the candidate or loan of money derived from an advance on a candidate’s brokerage account, credit card, home equity line of credit, or other lines of credit described in 11 CFR 100.83 and 100.143, as an itemized entry of Schedule A as follows:
(1) The amount of the loan that is used in connection with the candidate’s campaign shall be reported as an itemized entry on Schedule A. “
The Cruz numbers are going down by a lot. That is why he is defending. Most likely he is losing Iowa!!!
If you're gonna slam the other candidate at least pick an issue of substance and not some silly fabrication.
There. He said it.
Donald Trump is a bully. He may be want we need to fight off the democrats but these petty attacks make him look real bad.
