Agreed. My dad, a Vietnam vet were talking recently.

He was in the service in the 60s (obviously) and if you told his younger self that some day in AMERICA that NOBODY would know what communism actually is and they'd really vote for it, they would have shot themselves.

He was on a missile crew, and they followed Kennedy's orders during the Cuban missile crisis.

He even got to SEE Kennedy at a distance, once, when Kennedy visited the base.

I asked him: wasn't that awesome, to see JFK?

He said: No. He was a democrat.

But Dad, he was THE PRESIDENT!

I didn't care, nor did my fellow airmen. Sure he was the President, we followed his orders, but we never trusted him.

That's saying something.

And Kennedy was considered MORE anti-commie than Nixon.

Not sure I could point to a current democrat that is anti-commie.

Modern republicans are about where democrats were on communism roughly 1967.

Republicans don't even TRY to mention how horrible communism is.

Probably afraid of being considered "out of touch" or "haters". A full-blown commie has an honest-to God chance at the Presidency.

The SECOND choice?

A socialist woman.

God help the USA.
