Your whole post was based on a figment of your imagination -- the dreaded "purist."
Here's the deal. I vote for what I want to win. If the candidate advocates for a bunch of stuff I want to lose, like ethanol, government-run health care, violence-provoking mass deportations (yes, I want those things to lose), then obviously, my vote will go to a different candidate because I vote for what I want to win.
My tagline is a lived and learned truth. I am the reason the GOP is the messed up loser it is today -- I voted for it because I hadn't faced the truth of my tagline. I'm facing it now. You need to face the fact that "purists" are figments of your anger.
Still not interested.
