Rock and Roll blasphemy, right at the foot of the Pyramids in 1978. And from a band that had an album "Blues for Allah", and nobody got mad. So the question I give you, what the heck has gone wrong? In recent memory the world was still fun. Kids could ride in the back of a pickup. School shootings were unheard of. Rockers did the illegal drugs and 11 year old boys weren't doing prescription pills yet. Not all of the Arab world was idiotic. Just look at these Egyptian percussionists jamming with the band. Serious question, where do you think it all went off the rails? What can we do to return to the good times?

Jerry’s so torqued out on heroin.
Bobby’s such a rock star.
When Jerry wears a black shirt that means he’s doing coke.

GD were among the many who helped it go off the rails.
They made millions of mushy liberal headed democrat voters.
I remember Jerry doing press conferences on the rain forest. An early global warming routine, kind of a warm up dry run for what we have now.

To quote Jerry, to a heckler between songs, “Hey man, everything’s gonna be alright”.

Don’t drink that Haterade.... And I can tell, you didn’t even listen to the jam, did you? You couldn’t have heard it and still said something unkind.

I will give the Grateful Dead credit for one thing.
When Lithuania gained independence from the Soviet Union in 1992, they wanted to field a basketball team for the Olympics but had little money, the Grateful Dead chipped in and provided them the money, and they went on to win the Bronze Medal.

You know what, now I owe you one positive assist on a thread. Someday when you are in a debate, from somewhere I’ll come rolling in like a friendly ME-109 blazing away with total support for your position.
