That is what is so stupid. It’s our grid - and all of us pay for this this kind of vandalism in our electric bills.
Ok, one last thing. You are basically saying they attacked the grid, so where was the fast response team to respond to it? What are the cameras supposed to do -whether hidden or not - when a trained team attacks substations?
I feel compassion for these men. Many former military. They feel that the feds have stepped over the line and they are trying to reel it back under control.
We mock them.
It is sad.
I do engineering work for the power company (civil). The mandates placed on them are a gravy train with no end. And they just go to the ratepayer board and raise the rates. A local plant just built a football sized concrete container for fly ash, for environmental reasons, etc...all paid for by the customers.
I’ve got a feeling all these camera enclosures will have to get upgraded sometime soon.
