Full disclosure: I have a daughter-in-law who has a Black father and three grandchildren who have a Black grandfather.
I notice on the few commercials that show an interracial couple it is, without exception, a Black man and a White woman. It is never the reverse of that. I understand that it is much more common for a Black male to marry a White female than the reverse and I don't care who marries who, (as long a they are of two, separate genders), but why is this?
I was a Navy wife.
I was lusting after Diahann Carroll back in the day and then there is Halle Berry. Does half-black count?

White guy married to a black woman here and I’m feeling the micro-aggression big time. I can barely go out anywhere without being visually ridiculed by looks in the other direction. It is my strong belief that, because the government does not take my and my family’s situation seriously by creating regulations requiring companies and their advertisers to represent our segment of the population more forcefully, that the average American is able to simply ignore our situation or worse — treat it as some sort of aberration. Because of this, I feel that I am entitled to significant compensation for the mental and emotional anguish we, as a tax-paying family in good standing have had to endure.

I travelled the midwest and southeast for several years as a carny with a childrens ride (independent). I met quite a few Negro/Caucasian couples, mostly but not all Negro men. At least among those who attend state fairs those couples with children appeared to be the most satisfied and solidly married couples I met anywhere. I got into discussions with two of those couples at two different fairs. Both had pretty much the same stories. He was turned off by the drugs and the raucous behaviour among the Negro women he knew. She was put off by the total lack of interest in marriage by the Caucasian men she knew. I know that Negro men share that same reluctance to marry and Caucasian women can be just as unpleasant but when two people despair of their own kind and look around for alternatives they stand out and are more visible to each other and come together.
The PC market is their target and government pressure is a spur.
I saw a commercial within the past month that had a white guy with a cute milk chocolate wife. I cannot remember the product.

That is the very obvious plan. It is based on the very well established societal behavioral determinant — monkey see, monkey do.

I agree and was being slightly sarcastic. I am sure somebody in their office actually is using that as an excuse for not publishing that factoid.
