The GOP has controlled both houses of Congress for most of the last two decades and the White House for much of this time.
Their ONLY notable accomplishment was the Partial Birth Abortion ban and that didn't actually save a single life, it simply banned ONE TYPE of abortion (the murderers now inject the baby with poison while still in utero before inducing labor and it is totally legal).
Let's look at the presidential elections that the GOP has won since Reagan:
1988: Dukakis was an moron and Bush still had to lie to conservatives to win.
2000: Gore ran a HORRIBLE campaign and still almost won.
2004: Kerry was the most out-of-touch person to run for president in modern times and people weren't yet aware how incompetent Bush's war policy was.
The GOP CANNOT win without the conservative vote.
As I have said before, we have no clue what sort of skeleton the media has on Trump, but only the most naive would believe that there isn't an "October Surprise" in the works.
“As I have said before, we have no clue what sort of skeleton the media has on Trump”
He’s been in the tabloids and gossip columns since the early 1980s.
He’s likely the most transparent person to ever run in history.
I don't think the Trump supporters care. I think he has been vague enough that his supporters have decided he will do what they want to see done. On social issues, a good example is Planned Parenthood. When PP was shown to be harvesting baby parts and performed abortions in such a way as to maximize the future sales of body parts Trump's response was not to end funding for Planned Parenthood, but maybe just stop paying for abortions. Trump supporters thought this was a big victory. Clearly I'm in the minority, but I don't see the victory in this.
I get it, I'm a big "crybaby" because I think there are some things that you can't just ignore. For me it's Pro-Life.
Don’t count on it. Trump is up front and admits his differences, as compared to those who want us to believe they polish their halo daily.
