Wrong. Cruz has always been for border security and he fought the 2013 “reform” bill, even offering a killer amendment that would have removed the one provision without which Senator Schumer (D-NY), the leader of the Gang of Eight, said there could “be no reform”.
Senator Lee and Senator Sessions both say Cruz was against the bill itself and any form of open borders or amnesty then. I guess you know better than they do, right?

And that is one of the most absurd, dishonest statements Cruz has yet made. Are we to believe that the most brilliant lawyer who ever lived had no clue that his birth in Canada conferred Canadian citizenship upon him? He didn't even realize it until 2014?
I had a nephew born in Canada a few years back, to two US citizen parents, and both his parents and I knew that gave him dual citizenship, and none of us are lawyers.
Ted is making a big pile of absurd, implausible statements in the past few weeks. I wish Trump would hit him on his vote for TPA, and the flip/flop that followed after the anti-TPP sentiment became more apparent.

Cruz is all about “exposing” what needs to be exposed....like it or not. ...which includes Trumps history.
He’s not concerned with Trumps base....Cruz is running as a Constitutional Conservative....all know that Trumps running as a moderate Rino. The people will indeed decide who they want to support and vote for.....
She still works there...she’s just on leave...you know, helping out with the campaign and all...wouldn’t want to muddy the waters with a spouse actively working at Goldman Sachs during the campaign...you know, may raise some questions...

I dunno what has happened to this place, but it has become somewhat ill.
If there are still more conservatives in the party than idiots, Cruz will win the nomination. If there are more sane people who vote than crazy people who vote in America, he will win the presidency. If he loses, we’ll know it’s time to lock and load. If a conservative can’t be president, then what does it matter trying to win the presidency?
Yeah, I sure Cruz wouldn't want the thousands of people that show up at Trump's rallies to vote for him....

A misdirected comment in front of a gathering is one thing and easily forgiven.
However, using religion in a public forum to advance yourself, like Cruz, is specifically denounced in the Bible:
