He was very good in an Amnesty International (before they went full leftist) sponsored movie called "Closet Land" as the interrogator. It was basically him and Madeleine Stowe as the prisoner.
It was basically a look at how Statist regimes treated those who dared to speak out against them.
I also liked his character, Ed, in "The January Man" with Kevin Kline.
Played a wanker to the hilt in Quigley Down Under also, a very versatile actor who will be missed. At least he left an enjoyable body of work to be remembered by. RIP Mr. Rickman.
