I’m not a particular fan of disco but in the case of the Bee Gees their disco era material is much better than their previous pop music.

I was in college when the Main Course album came out. I remember the DJ on the local radio station told the audience that after the news break, he was going to play the new BeeGees' song which you'd never recognize as the BeeGees. He played Jive Talkin' after the news and he was right - I would not have recognized it as the BeeGees.

Main Course also had what I consider their best song ever The Edge of the Universe.
