“Ebony and Ivory” - no.

Speaking of Elton John, he had some good duets with Neil Sedaka (”Bad Blood”), Kiki Dee (”Snow Queen”) and John Lennon (”I Saw Her Standing There” and “One Day at a Time”).

“Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” with Elton John and George Michael - no.

I thought it was "Don't Let Your Son....."

Worse than that, though, was the duet of Natalie Cole with her deceased father.

I call those kinds of duets, "Musical Necrophilia."

Elton John’s pretty much reduced to being a backup singer in Bad Blood, where his name isn’t even on the label. “One Day at a Time” and “Snow Queen” were flip sides, and I don’t even remember John Lennon’s voice being on “One Day at a Time”. “I Saw Her Standing There” is a feel good song that comes off fine as a surprise at a concert, but not as good as the Beatles cleaner original, which also had better harmonies.

John Lennon provided backing vocals on Bowie’s “Fame” and co-wrote it.

I did like Lennon and Elton on “Whatever Gets You Through the Night”.

I love contrasting the lyrics with Lennon’s “Whatever Gets You Through the Night” with “Imagine”. Both evil, both near polar opposites.

I never picked out Lennon’s vocals on “Fame”. I found it interesting that Bowie’s first #1 song has gotten little respect compared to “Change”, “Space Oddity”, “Ziggy Stardust” and “Let’s Dance” in the Bowie tributes I’ve seen. His most acclaimed post-Ziggy album, “Scary Monsters”, completely unnoticed except for a stray mention of “Ashes to Ashes”.

If you haven’t heard the most soulless cover song ever, try Peter Noone’s Brit Top 20 version of “Oh! You Pretty Things!” on YouTube. Bowie actually played piano on that disaster.

And nobody mentions his 90s work, that I thought was quite good, albeit not very commercial. I really liked “Jump They Say.”

"Musical Necrophilia."

I like it, and will borrow that phrase!

Under Pressure is one of the worst songs ever! And I am a big fan of both Bowie and Queen. IMHO, of course.
