Sounds like quite a game.
Fun game. Clemson QB is going places if he doesn’t turn to thug life.
Good game. After watching Sabans numerous tirades on the sideline I’m wondering why any player would want to be on his team? No class.
"And the 2016 College Football National Champions are.....The Clemson Tigers!"
LOL. Well, at least they beat the spread.
Great game!
Clemson won everywhere but on the scoreboard. The kick off return for a touch down did it. You might say Alabama got lucky. But champions make their own luck.
By the way, I’m an SEC fan so I’m not sad.
Looking at the championship T-shirts worn by players after the game, I thought the Pittsburgh Pirates were the national football champs.
But champions make their own luck.
...
By calling on onsides kick that turned the game around. That was a big play that led to more big plays.
“Great game!”
I have to say, I have no vested interest in either of those teams, but that was in the top 5 football games that I’ve ever watched. Both teams were solid, both could execute, and both were professional in their conduct, (see Steeler/Bengals game for contrast.
Both programs should be proud of their performances. Class acts all the way around.
I am not particularly a Clemson fan but I was hoping that they would win.
Being an LSU alum I disliked Saban even before he won the Nat’l championship with LSU. I saw that the guy was a complete jerk and is still a complete jerk!
The onside kick changed the momentum of the game.
If you think Saban is tough, you’d have hated the Corps. Nick Saban knows how to lead tough young men - how to encourage, admonish, refocus and motivate them to sacrifice their egos and bodies for each other. He is tough and gentle in equal measures, which you might not have had the chance to observe. Saban’s players love and respond to him, and many of Saban’s assistants become successful head coaches as they have emulated him.
alabama scored 45 and you say they got lucky? that’s very funny.
you say clemson won everywhere but the scoreboard? funnier yet.
alabama’s tight end went for 208 yds.
alabama’s special teams blocked a field goal attempt, recovered an onside kick and returned a kickoff for a touchdown.
c’mon man.
Congratulations Alabama. Roll Tide!
Counting punt return yards, Alabama had 668 total yards to
618 yards for Clemson. Alabama’s special teams were better than Clemson and that’s why they won the game. They were very good the whole year. Watson had his best game and I thought overall Clemson played as good as they have all year, and Alabama didn’t play as well as they can. I didn’t think either team would give up that many points. It was probably the best national title game I’ve seen in the last 10 years. Both teams will be great again next year.
Love LSU because I was born in Houma, but taught at UT, go VOLS. My friends and colleges from Alabama have always been courteous to me in victory or defeat. Glad that an SEC team won.
“After watching Sabans numerous tirades on the sideline Iâm wondering why any player would want to be on his team? No class.”
Maybe because he has a few Heisman’s, 5 national titles, and 111 of his players have gone to the NFL. But that is just a guess. ROLL TIDE!
