Lost amidst the finger-pointing at the Cincinnati Bengals' utter collapse at the end of their playoff loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers is the strange actions by Steelers linebackers coach and former player Joey Porter.

So what? Porter should pay his fine, then get a raise. His team was out of options, and he gave them life. That chump Pac-Man took the bait and the Steelers went from looking at a 45-yarder in driving rain to a chip shot.
If SB 50 ends up KC v Packers - you might have something there.
Pro wrestling is scripted. The NFL just makes crap up as they go along.
I have thought for a long time that organized gambling controlled the outcome of the games to every extent possible.
The officals blew many calls. No excessive celebration penalty when whoever ran into the tunnel. Or the fumble that was a fumble and a touchdown scored back only to be called back because the whistle blew.
Both have the should have been thrown out of the game and the NFL ! Fire the coach for letting them act like the thugs they are.
Only solution is for drones to have a camera on each player. LOL
Reminds me of the Steelers stealing the Super Bowl from the Seahawks with ridiculous, made-up penalties a few years ago. What is there about this team that allows them to get away with this crap?
I guess they walk on water, huh?
Those were two things that stood out for me too.
In the old NFL a coach would have sent out a man to ‘take out’ Birket. If the NFL doesn’t want that to return they have to crack down hard on thuggishness.
Should have been offsetting penalties (against the coach and Jones). That said, the kicker was making the kick from the spot on the field where Burfict committed his penalty.
Someone on the Bengals staff needs to have a sit down with Burfict and see if he ever plans to play the game WITHIN the boundaries of the rules.
Two thoughts: 1) I turned on the TV to watch a fight and a
football game broke out and 2) The game looked like an hour long prison riot!
The Donald: “A prison gang fight.”
Calvin of "Calvin and Hobbes" was 5 years old when the strip ended. That was 20 years ago. He's now 25 and making the rules for the NFL. Calvinball goes pro.
That was the worst ending to any football game that I’ve seen.
Burfict should go to prison for assault. Late hit to the head when, on a worst case, he should have been going for the body.
It was sickening to see the receiver drop to the ground almost lifeless after the hit to the head.
I didn’t see the second infraction, so I don’t know who instigated it. But Burfict deserved all 30 yards of the penalty. The fact that the last 15 yards was assigned to some other infraction was just to make the bookkeeping correct.
Burfict is an Oakland CA Thug. You can take the boy out of the Ghetto, but you can’t always take the Ghetto out of the boy. Pac Man??? Well, we all know his history.

That’s really not true. Look at most of these unsportsmanlike conduct and personal foul penalties and you’ll see that the guy who retaliates is the one who gets flagged.
As for Porter being on the field, it wouldn’t have anything to do with the fact that he thought their best wide receiver had just broken his neck - with the help of a drug-crazed thug.
Why did they “select” Seattle to defeat Green Bay?
Not a bad point, but I recently learned that the Bengals signed Pacman Jones and Vontez Burfict against Marvin Lewis’s objections. Both were and remain well-known thugs and Lewis wanted no part of them.
What troubled me were the things thrown on the field, including some batteries, one of which hit Roethlisberger while he was being carted off the field.
