Good comment by Bradshaw - you don’t WANT to pull in the reigns, but mentally you do it almost involuntarily. Says something about the problem with being so far ahead at the half.
I don’t know what that means.
It means our team wasn’t good enough to accomplish what the fans thought they could do.
Yes, but you don’t go into the second half with that “no way” attitude. I don’t think Carolina did, but even Bradshaw just said that it’s something you have to watch for.
Great game between two great teams. Lots of fun.
Most teams lose the last game of their year. It’s f-ed over, it’s just how it works. 12 teams enter the post season, 1 wins. Seattle’s had a great run, but eventually all that extra mileage takes its toll. 3/4 of the league doesn’t get to play in the divisional round. And the Seahawks will be back strong, they’ve got a good core that should keep them relevant for 4 or 5 more years.
So far this weekend, it’s “Revenge of the Home Teams.”
Remember, “fan” is short for “fanatic”, they usually have unrealistic expectations.
I think Seattle fans should be proud of their team playing such an amazing comeback effort. Too much emphasis on winning instead of top-notch effort and attitude which I think Seattle displayed.
Just wait, Bendy-- Like George Amberson Minafer... Cameron Jerrell Newton will get his comeuppance--
Unless you ask people like bigolfreeper, Bender, and most of the NFL ping list.
Historically since this format came to be 3/4 of the home teams win in the Divisional Round. With good reason, the home teams are usually markedly better, and they’ve got that week of rest, 1 less game means a lot. Just look at how many injuries the Steelers took last week, and that’s just the stuff that winds up on the injury reports.
Trash talkers talk trash. And most of their favorite teams didn’t even make the playoffs. Don’t listen to trash talk, it’s stupid, and it’ll make you stupid too.
Well, in your world being proud of hard work and winning is not allowed.
Tell me your thoughts on Cam starting the practice of every touchdown ball going to a child in the stands?
Does that just knaw against your bones or what?
I make no secret of really not liking the Seahags... and Kam's Kitties also plus the Patriots, Giants, Iggles and, of course, them Godless Deadskins--
But I bet more folk hate my Cowboys than hate your Seattlealics... but you don't hear me bitching about it when my Boys get beat.
Of course not. Might as well love the Bucs. They both suck.
I will gladly drink a few beers in your honor during next weeks Panthers/Cards game! The monetary tribute that you so richly deserve is stuck in committee ;)
I’m just in my ‘down-in-the-dumps’ mindset. Anything or anyone will set me off. I’ll be over it in a day or two. MY apologies.
I can’t see anyone, AFC or NFC stopping Carolina; not that they are an especially great team; they look the best. I will be for Az.
Now, I really don't remember any of this, but the story my parents told for years afterward was that after Texan received George Taliaferro caught a 78 yard pass from Texan quarterback Bob Celeri, he flipped the ball up to me. I caught it but as it was back then, the Ref came up and took the ball back.
At halftime, George Taliaferro came over and gave me a signed game program. My late Father had that program framed but somewhere through the years in our many, many moves, it got lost. I even bid upon one on eBay a few years ago but got outbid.
So, don't hand me this crap of Cam being the first to have a touchdown ball given to a child in the stands--
His arrogant history of always making himself the center of attention leaves me cold, no matter how good of a football player he appears.
This Stoolers/Mules game is a snoozer
