Angus Scrimm, the character actor who played the Tall Man in the 1979 horror movie âPhantasmâ and its four sequels, died Saturday. He was 89.
âPhantasmâ director Don Coscarelli reported his death on Twitter and Facebook, saying âHe was the last in a long line of classic horror movie stars. He was a terrific actor and even better friend.â

The guy won Grammy awards for writing the liner notes for albums from Frank Sinatra and the Beatles. Quite a varied and interesting life.
