He’s pointing out that any politician that heeds donors can be bought. Look at Cruz’s ‘evolving’ amnesty stance. When a conservative won’t take a conservative stance, they are bought.
I guess we have a difference of interpretation.
I look at his statement as boasting that he can, and has played the game. I see no evidence that his behavior will change. So if you are “in it” for yourself..or some other party what is the difference?
I like some of the things Trump has said. I like some things Cruz has said. Since I can’t vote in the primary until March, today it really doesn’t make any difference.
I will say this...condoning what is the “norm” in business and politics won’t stop it. It will only make it more acceptable. To me...it’s not acceptable. There have been too many lines crossed already. That has made business and politics unethical, imho.
