A bit of classic tv comedy to start off the new year.
Wojohowitz has a new girlfriend. She paints, writes poetry, and likes to bake brownies. Very, very special brownies, as the detectives find out in rather hilarious fashion...

blue bloods tops it, imo
This was probably one of the more realistic police shows on television. Barney and his men dealt with pretty mundane cases on a daily basis - domestic disputes, shoplifters, purse snatchers, etc. There were no million dollar robberies, spectacular chase scenes, or dramatic shoot-outs with the bad guys. In fact, the entire series took place either in the squad room, or in Barney’s office. I can’t recall seeing the detectives in a scene that took place anywhere else.
Yes, Inspector Frank Luger was priceless. A close second was the head of Vice. I have never stopped being an advocate of the show. It should be in the Smithsonian. It is a virtual documentary of the ‘70s. We have regressed so far since then.
That was one of the great attributes of the show. I actually can think of five times they did a scene outside of the 12th Precinct set... Barney's apartment in the pilot, Fish's apartment, Wojo's apartment, once on a stakeout and once when Barney went to prison for not revealing a source. There might have been others but to have almost the entire eight seasons take place on essentially one set was impressive.
Unseen actress: “Fetch our guest a drink, Black Stallion.”
Harris’ voice, onscreen: “Yes, Mistress.”
Barney: “HARRIS!!!!!”
Or, the episode inn the thread title, where Barney tells Harris to have the brownies analyzed, and Harris shoves one in his mouth.
Thank you for refreshing my memory on the scene.
Thank you!
