The policial “consultant class” is oblivious to it - but once you get outside of the patronage class, working African-Americans aren’t going to vote for an old liberal white lady who tells them that she wants to “help” them.

In every poll I've looked at, Trump wins more than 35% of the black GOP vote and as high as 56%. His only competitor for this segment is/was Carson. Now, while it's a stretch, if Carson's % drifts to Trump, and Trump is winning 80% of the black GOP vote, you have to think that he is having strong crossover appeal to some Democrat blacks.

During the "Star Wars" debate, libs used to always say that "Star Wars isn't 100% effective." They completely missed the point that it didn't need to be. Even a much lower level of effectiveness, it would achieve all of its goals of deterrence.

The same is true with black voters. A Republican only needs 10+% to have a SIGNIFICANT impact on Democrats. Bush was at 7% in his national victories.

I can see TRUMP getting 10- 15% (at least) of the Black Vote! That’s at least TWICE the amount that ANY other Republican (including Cruz whom I like a lot) would get in the General Election...GUARANTEED! That would make up for the (presumed) “lost” of Hispanic Votes! If TRUMP gets the SAME amount of Hispanic Votes that Romney got in 2012 (27%) and out performs with the Black Vote (15+%) then the Election is Winnable!! NO other Republican in the field will be able to do that...take that to the Election!

“working African-Americans”

That is the key demographic. I think a greater percentage of working and those wanting to work African-Americans will vote for Trump. This is one of the things that gives him wide appeal.
