Wonder how far they would have gone with Kooper staying instead of bringing in David Clayton Thomas?

I am pretty sure that we have all heard a whole lot more of Al Kooper’s stuff than we could ever realize. From the organ playing in Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone”, to work with The Who, The Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, George Harrison, etc, etc etc. He wrote “This Diamond Ring”.

Rolling Stone for Dylan

Worked with Bloomfield and Stills

Hendrix

Alice Cooper

Ronnie and my boys of course

Cream

Zombies

Organ on Freebird

Johnny Winter

Best era Stones

And 100s of performances he never insisted for back cover credit

A really cool cat.....quite a range for a quirky Jewish kid from Brooklyn with a great ear for what was ready to bust open musically

If he’s not in the R&RHOF for innovativeness and an eye for talent he sure oughta be
