Personally, I am very torn and upset about such a situation.
It’s good to see the father in the situation wanting to be involved in his child’s life. But if the relationship between the split couple and family is so tense that there won’t be a good relationship with the father, what can be done? I don’t have any answers. Just expressing frustration that these things happen more than anything.
To: Bratch
Not to suggest a trailer-park scenario, but this is mostly gossip stuff over a young gal who has gotten involved with two guys and walked away in each case with a kid from each guy. If this were my daughter, I’d be having a heart-to-heart chat and convey some wisdom that you’d best find less drama in relationships.

This walking around with a brood of kids from different fathers is absolutely disgusting to me.
And it must be absolutely detrimental to the children, even if they were stand up guys.
We really need to bring back the concept of shame.

I love Sarah ... for her down home, common sense understanding of people and politics
But the "waywardness" of Bristol, the names BOTH have given to their children and the cool attitude about it all .... I wonder if Sarah is the epitome of a hippie all growed up
How would this personality have translated in the White House ?

Bristol appears to be a bit of a mess. She comes across as a nice girl, but with “rebel without a clue” tendencies. Hope Sarah can get through to Bristol. The Palin’s are just like every other family, fighting this worlds influence and the dumb decisions that kids make.

When Bristol Palin got pregnant the first time around, I posted on freerepublic, “Bristol and Levi should get married immediately.” The response form fellow freepers was mostly, “No, they're too young to get married...not ready...” I am now even more than then convinced that shotgun weddings are the best solution to many unplanned pregnancies. Many freepers said of Levi Johnston, “He's a loser; she shouldn't marry him, at least not yet.” But “losers” don't stop being losers just because they don't have shotgun weddings. Since Bristol and Levi's baby was born, he's had another baby with another woman; now, Bristol's had a another baby with another man. Perhaps Bristol and Levi wouldn't have stayed together, but maybe they would have, and maybe they'd have had their additional children with each other, as a married couple.
I laud Bristol Palin for not aborting her second pregnancy, which was perhaps more humiliating for her than her first was. However, I believe it's time for conservatives to start pressuring pregnant women and their boyfriends to get married. (And, yes, I understand that perhaps Bristol Palin’s latest beau refused to get married. I'm not beating up on her.)

As I understand it, she left him after discovering he’d briefly been married years earlier and hadn’t told her. Yeah, that’s something I’d be upset about. But if I was engaged, in love and pregnant, is that really worth ending the relationship over?

The Palin's are just like every other family, fighting this worlds influence and the dumb decisions that kids make. As a former kid who made some dumb decisions, I wholeheartedly concur.

Palins will have to get used to Dakota’s presence in his daughter’s life.
The court will grant him rights because he is the father.
That is unless they can prove he is some kind of danger to his child or is not the baby daddy.
Do they really want to go there?

Sarah is through as an elected officeholder. Rich families do what Bristol does all the time. At least the kid won’t grow up in poverty.

Isn't this the second time she's given birth out of wedlock?
Even with free contraception she can't figure out how to prevent this?

When you get old you just don't understand the new world. Ok Dakota has a relationship with Bristol Palin. No marriage just a kid. Now he wants child support and spousal support! Hey jackass you were never married that's the first requirement to be a spouse. Kid you are a brick. Now that you have said your are the father you will pay child support. Trust me I go after your government salary and or pensions. Biggest loser!!!!
