I think all the books I have read have been by white people . Give me Austen, the Bronte sisters, Gaskill, Hardy, Eliot, Tolstoy, etc. any day. I was forced to read a Toni Morrison book in college and it the worst piece of fiction I ever read. Throw me into the Re-Education Camp. I would take it as a badge of honor.
I guess I could spend a year reading authors that don’t happen to be white and be content.
