Better than the notices given by Irsay or Modell.
Three LA team’s interesting.
Approve them all and L.A. can have its own division.
The illegal alien division??
All three franchises once called Los Angeles home. What are they, salmon?
Chargers and Raiders and Rams, oh my!
Chargers to St. Louis.
Chargers to Mexico City
I’m only an occasional football/sports follower, but my memory is that the Rams were in LA, and moved because despite the city’s population, it couldn’t sustain a profitable franchise? Was the stadium never sold out? Fuzzy memory.
Ruining the old AFL West rivalries.
San Diego.
what went wrong?
are the Chargers in am old stadium,
and the city won’t pay-up for a new one?
All three can go to hell as far as I am concerned. Used to be a huge fan of these three teams(and also the San Jose Forty Niners) going back to 1957 when I saw my first NFL game at Kezar, the Niners vs. the LA Rams.
No more.
They have turned a great sport into a ridiculous circus with raving fans to match. It’s Ancient Rome with a little less blood. Serves the same societal purpose too, i.e., distract the masses from their rulers treachery, decadence, and opulence.
Would love to see the Chargers make the move. Keep the Rams in St Louis. And if the Raiders want to move send them to Portland Oregon.
New rules in the NFL. Once a team leaves a city, the colors, uniforms, and nickname and logo must stay in that city. So No more Raiders, Chargers, or Rams.
nfl fee to FILE an application to move is $550 million.
league just got $1.65 billion in filing fees. the increase in franchise value in L.A. vs oakland/st.louis/must be very substantial to justify a filing fee that could basically build a new stadium.
kinda pisses me off that these franchises can pony up half a bill for an application to move, but wont pay to renovate their stadiums.
It’s weird that the three teams that have applied for relocation to Los Angeles all played there previously. I guess they forgot why they left.
Do away completely with a place location for teams. In other words, instead of San Diego Chargers and New England Patriots, just call the teams "Chargers" and "Patriots."
That way, people can root for their favorite teams regardless of location. There may be be Packers fans in Denver and Broncos fans in Green Bay, for instance.
Just have the teams play the stadiums randomly. For example, MetLife Stadium in New Jersey could host "Cardinals vs Vikings" one week and then "Falcons vs Buccaneers" another game. The Jets and Giants might actually never play one game in New Jersey because technically they are not associated with a location anymore.
In this manner, people will become fans of multiple teams and they will go watch games in their area regardless of what teams are playing.
I think this is brilliant. And it's all my idea.
Lambs, Traitors, and Bolts. What a mess.
