The problem is he's not. Trump is wrong.
Ted was advocating a Border Wall when he first ran for Senator, well pre-dating Trump's call for a Border Wall.

Cruz is not copying anybody. See post 3.
On every issue Trump named in his announcement speech, it could be said to be the other way around. The only issues he didn't copy from Cruz ... he didn't take a position on religious liberty or abolishing the IRS.
