The vaunted “dialogue on race” has always been a strident monologue, defended by the unproven assertion that the opponents have already said everything they deserve to say, or are just too bigoted to listen to. That isn’t a recipe for racial comity, it’s a recipe for a one-sided beating that continues forever.
