Sadly, political correctness afflicts much of the world; in particular the Western world.
At its inception in the counterculture of the 1960s and beyond it was a force for good. It moved us to examine our hatreds, prejudices, values and words. It reminded the British and the French that their prosperity had been driven and depended partly on the plunder of their colonies. It brought home to the Americans that their reach in the world wasn't always benevolent; sometimes it was born out of their economic dominance of the world and exploitation of the resources and peoples of the world.
The U.S. blacks and the counterculture made the world pivot toward a fairer, more just and compassionate understanding of the inequality and unfairness in the world. The world began to understand gender equality, freedom for gays and lesbians to be themselves, the ugly reality of racism in the world and how North America had oppressed and marginalized the indigenous peoples and the rampant unfairness in international relations.

To make a claim that PC was ever a force for good is absolute ludicrous and delegitimizes any subsequent point this idiot tries to assert.
We had lunch at a fine seafood place not far from Waterfront Station in downtown Vancouver. (On my last trip there, I found the restaurant was gone.) They wanted one Canadian at each table with the Americans, so by the luck of the draw, I was at a table with some Washington state legislators, and Ujjal was our designated Canadian host.
He was part of the New Democratic Party that had captured the province from the defunct Social Credit Party. He was a fine host, but I found him and his party's belief in socialism to be at best naive. Canada did not experience anything like our Civil War, so they don't have the sense of identity forged in blood that we do. The sense of Canadians being citizens of the world predominates over the idea of a Canadian identity.

What the world is realizing is that liberalism is a mental disorder and homophobia is a nice way of saying, “daddy doesn’t approve of my lifestyle choice.”

Not only is extreme, far left-wing liberalism a mental disorder, but it is characterized very specifically by suicidal altruism. The White majority is facilitating its own demise by literally giving away what we have to hordes of low functioning intruders from hostile, alien cultures. These intruders have no desire to integrate or assimilate, but instead they are intent on transforming and ultimately taking over the host society; and we are passively allowing this to happen in the name of equality, compassion, multiculturalism, atonement for past sins, etc. It’s no wonder that Donald Trump and Ted Cruz are gaining so much traction with Americans who understand and are concerned about what is happening to our country.
While trying to say white Canadians deserve to be heard, this dope proceeds to slam them and blame them for the awful state of the third world. He's an ungrateful wretch who should go back and live in his wonderful homeland. And try living without all the inventions and innovations white people created.

Liberals think fairness is inverting the supposed caste system of a century ago to punish the descendants of the (mostly not) guilty group.
And many of the “privileges” ascribed to white privilege are simply benefits of belonging to a majority linguistic, ethnic and cultural group.
In every society, not speaking the majority language is a hindrance, as is not understanding and participating in the culture. Locking yourself in a ghetto is about as crippling as being forced in one, hence the point.
The liberal mistake, though, is ascribing an original sin to Caucasians, especially Caucasian men, and then seeking to turn them into “untouchables” as a caste. As someone told me, at least with Islam, you can convert to escape Dhimmitude. With liberals, you are a sinner to a severity ascribed to your demographics. And if you don’t self-flagellate, you’re excluded from decent society altogether, hated and condemned like apostates.
And no one likes being told you are inherently evil based on characteristics you cannot change, punished for sins you didn’t commit, that every other culture and people is better than you. And that your home nation is inherently bad, despite the two wars in a century to fight evils abroad and the modern civilization your group essentially founded.
Whites aren’t to be punished for creating industrial civilization with antibiotics and electronics. Africans, Asians, Middle Easterners all could have done this - but didn’t because they are overwhelmingly fatalistic in faith (Islam especially) or see things as a system that cannot be broken down and studied (Confucianism and Buddhism, esp.). Only the rationalist movement in Europe said you could study pieces of the world to understand the whole AND the world had rational rules behind it to begin with. That was even an innovation for Christianity of the Middle Ages, allowing science to take off beyond the observation phase.
Thus all the advances and evils attributed to Caucasians are simply due to advances in the culture that made so much possible - benefiting the whole world. Even ISIS with sex slave markets uses cell phones and antibiotics. But all of them have decided to hate and punish the group that created all this, aside from minorities immersed in their culture that contributed.
All because somehow someone failed to separate a successful culture from the race, denigrates both, and managed to convince so many that they should have collective guilt today because of collective inequality in outcomes over the past few centuries. Equality of opportunity is irrelevant to liberals, it is the inequality of outcomes that must be punished.
Hence the demand to punish the generation today because their ancestors achieved more, along with demonization of them.
The sooner Canadians who are white, come to realise the drastic change taking place, the better. It is most uncomfortable to me, as an immigrant from England, to know Mr. Dosanjh is sorry for many of us. He does not mean any ill, but the indication of his train of thought is a wakeup call.
Lastly I saw something that I would like to quote. "Multi culture means all cultures are equal..... except yours". This being the inner thought of many of the multiculturalists.

You really have a grasp of the issues and, equally important, the relevant history (including Dhimmitude, which most cable news bloviators appear not to have heard of). Thanks for taking the time and effort to write this. As to your point about group differences in scientific and technological achievement, if you haven’t seen it already, you might enjoy Michael Hart’s excellent book, Understanding Human History.
