Is Steven Avery guilty?
An honest question, is that suddenly not in vogue?
Sarcastic perhaps, not illiterate.
And (at least according to the series) it sure seemed like Manitowoc County found a lot of evidence even after supposedly recusing themselves from the case.
Now I’m wary of shows with an agenda. But my take based on only the show was that at the very least the investigation was botched by allowing Manitowoc the role they had.
How can you tie someone to a bed, rape them and then stab them and cut their throat and no blood or DNA was found. Same in the garage. This trailer he lived in was not something out of American Homes and Gardens. And the mattress looked well used. No evidence on the bed posts either.
You’re welcome. I said the same thing to my daughter about two weeks ago when she told me I HAD to watch the show.
I’m just always amused by people who take the time to comment on a thread that they couldn’t care less about the thread.
Quit whining and go watch the series.
That being said, the concept that the sheriff's department planted the murder victims car, and the burned remains of the woman on the Avery property is pretty far fetched.
I found Avery's murder defense team to be very sketchy. They went all high and right over the hole in the top of the test tube of blood. Have they never had blood drawn before? I think their frame up defense was a very poor decision. There is a big difference between raising a doubt about the state's case and directly accusing the police of planting a car, a body, blood and DNA evidence.
I also would like to know if the jury polling results stated by the defense team in their discussions with the family are correct. It seems really weird that they started out 7 innocent, 3 guilty, and 2 undecided, and then got to a unanimous guilty verdict.
I think the problem, which seems to happen on about every 5th thread, is that you bothered to comment negatively on something you don’t care about, which got very predictable responses. Has nothing to do with being PC.
The Manitowoc sheriff department and public defender have to be most unprofessional LEO’s I’ve ever seen in operation.
They turn the matter over to the Calumet county LEO’s, after Miss Palchak’s RAV 4 is found on the Avery property, in order to avoid a conflict of interest, then they proceed to inject themselves into just about every facet of the investigation.
Officer Lenk and nephew Dassey’s public defender were absolutely reprehensible in this actions. It seemed pretty clear that “evidence” was planted. I was floored when the jury found him guilty of murder. It doesn’t sound as if they took their duties seriously.
That incident upset me a lot. I have 2 rescue pups , and sis works for a dog rescue group.
Yes. My wife said that there was absolutely NO WAY he could have cleaned every trace of the scene. And even if he WAS that smart, then why would he leave her vehicle filled with blood evidence right at the front of his huge salvage yard? Why would he “clean” that too?
If I were a juror and had only the facts presented by the show to go on, I’d be a “not guilty”.
Who the hell is Steve Avery and why should I care? An insulting and arrogant response like that deserves insulting replies.

The only reason we are led to believe the murder took place in the garage or the mobile home is because of the kid’s multiple conflicting statements. I don’t think she was killed in the mobile home. My guess is he killed her somewhere else in the junkyard and the kid’s statements were all made up. I think the story he told the 14 year old cousin about seeing the feet in the fire was the only true story he told.
How do you know I have a computer and that I have replied on one? Call it a day...
