No argument here. I thought it was a gigantic F-U to the fans. Even if these weren’t Trek movies, just as sci-fi they were crap. From poor casting, stupid dialogue and plot holes you could fly the Death Star through (yeah, and that lens flare thing, too). Blowing up Vulcan with a garbage scow ? Whut ?
Give me a Star Wars film to direct, and I’ll blow up Coruscant with a funnel and a grain of Uncle Ben’s Wild Rice. Ah, revenge.
