The planes circled for almost an hour after the parade of flower-adorned floats and marching bands finished, writing variations on a theme that included messages such as "Trump is delusional," and "Trump is a fascist dictator."...........This happened while they claim to have tight security???

There is a company that has 5 or 6 P-51 Mustangs fitted with smoke generators, and one plane has a punched-tape type transmitter that allows them to write dot-matrix messages. They naturally file flight plans and follow lots of rules.
It’s a well-known outfit, so there would be no reason to worry about them. Apparently they’ll skywrite anything you pay for.
I’ve seen them many times over Manhattan Beach during volleyball championships.

We were on N Sierra Madre just after the turn off from Colorado Blvd.
The plane flew around for quite a while.
After that, they sprayed a few Geico ads.

There is a company that has 5 or 6 P-51 Mustangs fitted with smoke generators...Why would they use P-51's? When it comes to fuel these are really thirsty, and avgas is not in the $2 a gallon range.
