The most notable thing I observed was at the very end of the parade there was a Sikh float with dancers along each side and the commentators went on and on about the float “Vasakhi” — named after the celebration of harvest in Punjab, India — fosters more public understanding about Sikh culture and its positive contributions to American society.

It was a lovely float with an inspirational message.

Next, some horse, a Park float and then the commentators (barely) introduced the final float ‘Lutheran Laymen’s League/Lutheran Hour Ministries’ whose message is ‘Jesus Is the Light of the World,’ after the introduction, the Broadcast abruptly ended without ever showing the float.
Seems like the ultimate in PC...

I saw the Sikh float.

It was a good idea for them.

It was a “We Are Not Muslims” float and message.

I was watching the Mummers Parade in Phila. One of the comic groups was hysterical They had someone pretending to be Bruce Jenner. All around him were photos of the Wheaties Box with him on it, right next to it was a boxes of Fruit Loops.

They had him get in a wheel chair and they took him into a crowd. When he reemerged, he was dressed in drag.
