I watched the NBC coverage this year, and I have to say it was seriously lackluster. The two hosts, Al Roker and some ditz who’s last name is Kotb, gave an utterly juvenile performance.
At one point early on, Al related a tweet from someone who asked if they’d been drinking before the parade. He responded by saying “Yes, we have!”. There was no “just a joke, folks” or retraction of that statement. Considering what they were saying and how they were acting, I really wonder if either or both of them were tipsy. Not only that, the parade STILL had floats and bands to show, and they cut the program to show some hockey game.
Although it will probably do absolutely no good, I am considering emailing NBCUniversal and telling them what I think of this outrage.
BTW....they made no mention of anyone doing any skywriting.

Her name is Hoda Kotke. I always wondered if her family nickname is “Ho”! ;-)
I always watch it on HGTV-no commercials.
