I’m close to 60 and love ABBA. It was the first rock group I introduced my girls to. They loved ABBA’s music. I have lots of great memories of dancing around the kitchen with them. It’s great pop music.

You are not alone. Love that group with emphasis on the girls.

Read the comments on youtube of any of their vids.

We are not alone.

Have you tried waterloordio.net? 24/7 ABBA and cover versions, plus music from them after the breakup.

Was watching NBC. Then didn’t show the ball drop and Nicki Minaj I think said she looked forward to buying a lot of weed.

Most of their songs were complete dreck. I remember one song by them that I actually liked.

One.

There’s so much better music out there.

Based on what criteria? They released 8 albums. The first two were very spotty, another was a disco oriented album that was also spotty. The other five were brilliant pop music.

For exampe the interplay between the melodic fragments in the overall structure in this song is very artful any which way you cut it...

Based on the fact that I’ve been a huge music fan for almost all of my 57 years, and the fact that I have played guitar since age 16 as a direct result of being said music fan. I listen to music from a guitarist’s point of view, and also I have very eclectic tastes in music overall. Those are my criteria.

I’ll try listening to what you are putting up. However, I do know what is good music and what is not.

Cheers, ‘Pod

Also, I’d be curious which of their songs you see as ‘total dreck’. At least once they hit their stride in 1975 or so.
