One of the greats. People like to hate the Dodgers, but Koufax was a class act.

A favorite story from his days with the 'hitless wonders':

Koufax was pitching a no-hitter in Philly, when Drysdale left early to go to NY where he was pitching the next day.

When Drysdale was getting of the train in NYC reporters rushed him:

"Did you hear the news? Koufax PITCHED A NO HITTER!"

Drysdale: Did he win?

Yep, one of The Greatest. Too bad he retired early. He wasn’t so much on the TV analysis: “He’s got a good fastball, he’s got a good curveball, he’s got a good . . . “

I saw the game on T.V. As a Phillies fan. The last out was pinch hitter Bobby Wine,who took a called third strike. They asked him why he didn’t swing. He said”that he didn’t see it!”
