Extreme perversion is usually the mark of a liberal. Every once in awhile they pop up and reveal their true natures around here.
That's an interesting proposition. I wouldn't go so far as to say extreme perversion is a mark of a liberal, although we see plenty of examples of that. I don't know many transexuals who are conservatives. Have you seen the 1993 Michael Douglas movie "Falling Down"? It shows what can happen to an otherwise normal man when all those things that matter to him in life are taken away, one by one. Job, wife, dignity, credit, kids etc. Person under stress snaps. Takes it out on those around him. Yet he sees himself as the victim, as he harasses others. (Good movie.)
What I'm saying, is that some people who might consider themselves conservative may be under stress and have snapped, and harass others yet do not see themselves as an instigator and troublemaker. It's one facet of human fragility, getting stressed out and then partaking in perversions. As you say, once in a while they reveal their true nature. Yet they don't see anything wrong with the perversion they display, continuing to think they are conservative, and that is troubling.
