An illegal alien suspected of causing a traffic accident and killing movie director Bob Clark, whose "A Christmas Story" has come alongside "It's a Wonderful Life" and "Miracle on 34th Street" as a perennial holiday must-watch, has been placed under an immigration hold by federal authorities.
The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency placed the hold on Hector Velazquez-Nava, 24, a Mexican national who was living in Los Angeles as an illegal immigrant, according to a report from Americans for Legal Immigration Political Action Committee.
Agency spokeswoman Virginia Kice said the hold means Valezquez-Nava, when his Los Angeles court proceedings are completed, will be turned over to federal immigration officials and put into deportation proceedings.
In Los Angeles, he was arrested for investigation of driving under the influence of alcohol and vehicular manslaughter, and was being held on $100,000 bail. If he were able to post bail, he would still be held in custody, but by federal authorities, Kice reported.
Police have reported they believe Velazquez-Nava was driving his sport utility vehicle and steered it into the wrong lane on the Pacific Coast Highway early Wednesday. He struck Clarkâs car head-on, and police say Clark and his son, Ariel Hanrath-Clark, 22, were pronounced dead at the scene.

always a filthy illegal in LA
I have a feeling, that somewhere, the Obungler, the rats, and the GOPe are celebrating this. American lives don’t matter to these POSs.
Sadly, you’re correct. :-(
Sadly, I have been right twice today, already. :-(
Oh oh................!
Yep. That’s pretty sad isn’t it?
I suppose so, but soon it’ll be Christmas and we all should just forget about this nasty garbage for that day and rejoice!

Yes, let’s just forget about these chumps for a few days. The issues will still be there. Where I am, it is already noon on Christmas Day. It is late Christmas Eve where you are. Maligayang Pasko.
Yes, it is latish Christmas Eve here; though it sure doesn't feel like it. But hey....I'll take this el Nino heat wave ( 70 today ), over snow, any day ! :-)
Bob Clark went to Hillsdale. I don’t know if he was conservative, as Black Christmas seemed to take a pro-abortion position. He didn’t deserve to die like this.
I am in Davao City, and it was Tagalog, meaning merry Christmas. Must be global warming on steroids there.
It's el Nino and whilst it's unusual, it's just a cyclical weather pattern. The last time el Nino came about, it was 63 on Christmas Day. And you better believe that I'm more than happy to have this, than many feet of snow! :-)
