Of those, Santorum would be the best fit for Trump. Christie for Cruz.

They worked in the Bush administration. The Bush family does not like Cruz, probably because Yeb is behind him in the polls, but there is no relationship between them and the Cruz family.

Deals would hardly be discussed before the primaries are well underway.

Merry Christmas!
I have posted this dozens of times. So happy he answered this. A man with real principles would never take a position where he has to back an unprincipled one. Not to mention it would not be very smart on Trump’s part and a waste of Cruz’s time.
Waiting on that moat swim!
Wishing the best of all for all FReepers.

True.
And everyone of them needs an amnesty candidate for that to happen.
Poor joyful turtle.

To say he has "no interest" is strong language for Cruz.Makes sense, the last time he used the more slippery "I intend" language, it didn't play too well.

Thanks, kind Lady. Have the most Blessed Christmas Ever!

We'll see how it goes. All this talk about “Trump already ha the nomination in the bag” is ridiculous.

Of course Cruz has no interest in being Trump’s VP; AT THIS TIME.
And Cruz is right that Trump would have no interest in being VP.
To: conservativejoy
You might try to sell that to someone who might buy it.

Exactly. W dished Cruz and that was leaked - I just can’t stand the guy or something like that through 7 years of not a word again bambi. Rove went haywire when Ted’s book came out.
I take Cruz at his word.

"Cruz would make a better attorney general than VP. Or even better... a supreme court justice."
I agree!!! Save him for bigger and better things.

Of course Cruz has no interest. He understands that attaching himself to Trump would be too damaging.
Yet the fantasy of some secret alliance will continue, even after this.
Well said.

The guy is way too talented to settle for Joe Biden’s job.

This is a picture of Ted wearing one of Don’s jackets because Ted wasn’t wearing one that day and Don talked him into it knowing it would look sloppy on him. I’d bet on it. Think this one through. Art of the Deal stuff.
To: Rightwing Conspiratr1
I practical terms, why would Cruz want to be AG or 1 of 9 on SCOTUS, when VP is the perfect set up for President.

Cruz is a national treasure. He is the most intelligent and principled candidate in my lifetime.
