Good point. We all know that Donald has a history that
could cause people to question the depth of his stated
convictions. Apparently there are some Trump only
supporters who feel the need to throw shade at Cruz in
order to balance the field. Trying to link Cruz to the
Bush family going forward is one of those cheesy efforts.
Cruz has spent the last few years successfully
establishing himself as a conservative unlike the blue blood
Bush outfit. The train has left the station, nobody
buys the Cruz/Bush alliance innuendo crap.

Having stated all that I have no problem with Trump. For
the life of me I don’t understand why any FReeper should
spend one minute of time criticizing one only because they
prefer the other. And if I run across a Cruz supporter
who slams Trump then I’ll probably defend Trump. Nobody
told me that I can only support one or the other.

.
But supporting essential opposites places you in the mushy middle, stretching like a rubber band.

Is the solution government strongman power, or honesty in government and a return to the constitution.

The only similarity between Cruz and Trump is that Trump used Cruz’ rhetoric to launch his candidacy.

That is not where his heart is.

Excuse me, I didn’t realize Cruz was supporting a wall, deporting illegals, doing something about the economy, jobs, trade and taxes in 2011. I guess I missed that.

You have missed everything.

When President Cruz begins to jail the employers of illegals, we won’t want any wall to impede the departure of the illegals.

Well, that will be the only way they will leave under a President Cruz. He surely doesn’t intend to deport them.

.
There is no available mechanism by which the majority of illegals can be identified for deportation.

36 million un-registered, unknown people.

They will leave on their own as their economy collapses, opening up jobs and affordable housing for legal Americans.

Ah, but I never stated that I don’t have a preference
between Cruz and Trump so your “mushy middle” reference is
a non-starter. In fact, I prefer Cruz and have posted so.
I would accept Trump as an alternative if for no other
reason than I think the rest of the field tilts too much
towards the GOPe side of things. I just don’t think it is
particularly helpful if I play my ‘stay at home’ card if
my top choice does not make it.

Ted Cruz should be nominated to the Supreme Court as Chief Justice (but that job is already taken by a ‘Bush’ guy).
