Hamill stated in that interview that some of the real scars from the crash made an appearance in The Empire Strikes Back.[42][43] Hamill also acknowledged that the stories surrounding his injuries had become exaggerated in an episode of children’s program Ask Aspel. Not entirely sure that accounts for the change in his overall appearance. Have met many people in person who have been in bad accidents and had the opportunity to view their injuries.
