I remember the TV shows from 1968 (after the murder of Bobby Kennedy) through 1984 when all the detective and cop shows had very anti-handgun lines written into the scripts.
I especially remember Jack Lord on Hawaii 5-0 reviling the ownership of handguns. The same for Dennis Weaver on McCloud and Richard Boone in Heck Ramsey. Every show was very anti-handgun.
Then in 1984, RIFLES became the number one enemy!
