Arcangelo Corelli
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Arcangelo Corelli (/kÉËËrÉli/;[1] 17 February 1653 â 8 January 1713) was an Italian violinist and composer of the Baroque era. His music was key in the development of the modern genres of sonata and concerto, in establishing the preeminence of the violin, and as the first coalescing of modern tonality and functional harmony.[2]

For younger FReepers - "give it a spin" is a reference to the Ancient Days, when music files were kept on circular media known as "CDs". There are certain archaeological references to these once being kept on squiggly lines on vinyl platters called "records" but this is widely believed to be a myth.
