Well, not so much.
Here, AT&T took over a fairly useable network from Altel, and promptly went downhill. While you once could get calls and voicemails and texts, now they brag about all those G's and it can take a text a week or more to get through.
Forget getting a call past the end of the sidewalk (most of North Dakota is rural) without investing a grand in a cell booster and directional antenna.
All the teevee hoo-hah about streaming video and a partnership with Direct TV? Never mind.
Verizon, on the other hand, is more reliable, has much better range.
Straight Talk is cheaper and works almost anywhere.
I live in a rural area and have had AT&T cell phone service and DirecTV since I moved out here-I recently bundled them to save a few $$$ per month. But as far as internet goes, Hughesnet or one of the other sat-internet services is still the only game, which sucks-the area is too sparsely populated to rate AT&T U Verse service...
