I have a love/HATE relationship with Comcast/Xfinity X1. For the past year it’s been love. A year ago we upgraded to Xfinity X1 service with a DVR that records up to 6 channels at once, Triple play with phone and broadband internet. The Xfinity box is wonderful and the remote has voice input and keys reserved for sports and other apps. In fact it’s reminding me to watch the Steelers game today.

Incoming calls show up on the TV.

Best part is the Broadband. On Ethernet speeds average 80-110 mbps! We use mostly Wifi to our machines so that does get cut down maybe 20%.

the only complaint I have is with the router we must use because it includes the phone service, however I was grandfathered in to having 2 cable outlets in our apartment so I have a second router and Wifi at no extra cost.

The only other thing is cost! Gad! If anyone had told me I’d pay $180/month for cable/phone/net I would have told them they were crazy!

We don’t go out much anymore though so it makes sense for us.

I'm pretty housebound, especially this time of year - But I just got rid of all that last spring. Paying for the landline (it's a business phone) and broadband internet... about $70 bucks a month - and stream anything I want to my TV from the internet for free. I'll never go back. What I have now is way better, and I haven't seen a commercial in months... And $100 stays in my pocket every month.
