Let's face it, throughout the Old Testament it is clear that there are three groups of people that need help from good, Godly people: aliens, widows, and orphans. I do not think people will dispute that.

However, there is an issue, however, of wisdom here. Is it wise to let in every tom dick and harry? Of course not.

Now the Evangelical could further argue that these people will have no other opportunity to hear the Gospel message. I heard it from the pulpit recently of an Assembly of God preacher that we should be ashamed of ourselves for not embracing these poor refugees. He prefaced that with stories he read on BBC of the women and children coming across. The wife and I had a long discussion about that later because we are quite literally in the heart of a dense Somali population. The question then becomes, have they, have we, as Evangelicals reached out to them? Hardly. It's a tough community, those Somalis. Not impossible but tough. And of course when you only get your news from BBC, which has a Muslim bias, you are going to get the poor poor pitiful me stories.

So the comments earlier that suggest these leaders are total liberal marxists are disingenuous and unhelpful.

I still say it is not a bad thing to wrestle with these ideas, especially when to NOT help is going against a lot of Scripture.

Since many in the Evangelical community have refused to go overseas or felt led to stay here to minister, they are coming to us. Again, the question is, have we done all we could to minister to those coming here from those lands?

At issue is.... until Muslims themselves leave Islam and denounce the Koran you can expect any one of them can be manipulated within Islam to act against non-muslims given the “Duty” of and “Obedience to Islamic teachings” they know they must obey against non-muslims. That IS their frame of mind when they come here.....regardless of their desires otherwise on the surface, these are heavily and deeply programmed people.

Unlike Americans or Western countries that have familiarity with Christianity as it is, Muslims are taught Christianity is the enemy of Islam.

Therefore a simple presentation of the Gospel message, and they're acceptance of Jesus is often times, more than not, in order to be “accepted” in this country ...is not sufficient to assume a conversion has occurred.....as even overseas many are being baptized as Catholic in order to claim asylum as being persecuted for their faith.

Part of the Islamic Stealth Jihad is to infiltrate Christian churches....and these people are seasoned liars as they've had to do so to survive just daily in their volatile country even as a practicing muslim.. Jesus called the church, his church to "Go out" with the Gospel Message.....I think it more than wise and necessary to be very cautious of Muslims who come into the church....it takes months and months for them to grasp the Gospel message and it's full meaning.....there's a degree of deprogramming that also comes into play. And I would add only those who are well versed in scripture should take on instructing a Muslim.....they often times believe these conversations are to convert the person teaching them.
