You mean like imprisoning journalists, having opponents of the regime killed, rewriting the constitution to retain power? Fake terrorist attacks to justify action against groups considered to be outside, infiltrate the church with government agents? Invade other countries on flimsy pretexts? I think all that stuff is pretty totalitarian.
