[[I missed the last show because I watched the debate. ]]
That’s why we have cable dvr box which records- so we can watch later AND skip all the non action scenes and long drawn out ‘could this be an ancient Aztec iron bolt used to ... blah blah blah- I’m at the point now where I fast forward till I see someone pulling something out of the ground
You are close to discovering my secret to enjoying television shows.
Take Mad Men, for example. Half of Mad Men is a soap opera. Keep your finger on the FF button, and whenever the characters are shown in a romantic situation, usually outside of work, fast forward until they are back in the office. Another good indicator of boring storyline is the appearance of a wife or child. Fast forward that sucker. And flashbacks? FAST FORWARD.
What you end up with is a fascinating show about an ad agency in the 60s.
I have a dvr too. That’s how I know that History doesn’t want me to watch Curse any more. When HIST want me to quit watching a show they add all kinds of bs recut episodes and 10 minute commercials for the show so that that series screws with all our other programming. I move that show to the lowest priority and it rarely records or I just delete it.
